Mini Adventure Film Competition
Are you a Film Maker? Why not have a go at making a short adventure film?
HVAFF invite you to put your skills into practice and try your hand at film making – you are invited to enter our mini film making competition. You will need to produce a short film – maximum 3 minutes long showing any of the outdoor adventures you are involved in and inspired by.
For example …climbing, cycling, skiing, skating, sledging, orienteering, running, swimming; the list could go on and on. The film should be entertaining, fun and express the creative way in which you experience the outdoors. The deadline for film entry is Friday 4th February – films must be burned onto a dvd or memory stick and handed in at the reception desk at HVC.
All the entries will be screened on a continous loop throughout the day at HVAFF in a seperate room opposite the library. Everyone at the festival will have the opportunity to see them, and this room is next to the food hall so should see plenty of traffic!
The films will be judged by an independant panel of judges and the best 3 films will be screened at 5.00pm in the Music Hall at HVAFF for all to see. There are prizes for the top 3 films. Students may find they can do all their own editing and splicing on computers at home, using programs such as Windows Movie Maker, but if they are unable to do this they may be able to get help at HVC from some departments.
If you make a 3 minute film for HVAFF why not enter it into the mini film comp at ShAFF as well, just 3 weeks later and with a first prize of £500!
